STATE OF THE: AIR 2007

Lung Association SD

Did the air in your community get a passing grade?  We at the American Lung Association found that over 136 million Americans live in areas that got an "F"—they live in coommunities with dangerous levels of air pollution.

Don’t you think the air you breathe should be cleaner? Tell EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson that you want to breathe cleaner air and that the EPA needs to set tighter limits on ozone smog in the air.

Even better, show him by sending him a 30 second video of what is polluting the air you breathe each day. Whether you show smokestacks belching, cars and trucks spewing exhaust, hazy skies, or something else, show Administrator Johnson how much work needs to be done and how much citizens like you want clean air to be a priority.

As you well know pollution hurts us all, but most especially children and teenagers, the elderly, and those living with chronic lung diseases like asthma, emphysema, or diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

You don’t need a fancy camera or Hollywood production values—just capture a few images and make your voice heard with your own video. Learn more about the American Lung Association's Reel Advocacy project today!

By taking a little bit of time to put your video advocacy message together, you will be making a big statement about how much you care about the air you breathe. Get started right away.

Sincerely,
The American Lung Association

P.S. Show the EPA what keeps the air you breathe from being as clean as it should be. Submit your 30 second video to the American Lung Association’s Reel Advocacy project today.  Not ready to make a video yet? Send an email message to EPA Administrator Johnson—your voicee can make a difference.

The mission of the American Lung Association is to prevent lung disease and promote lung health.
