County of San Diego -The Flu Shot Hotline, (877) FLU-0202, is now being staffed to give seniors and others information about where to receive a flu shot. Medicare (Part B) will pay for the flu shot as well as a flu signpneumonia vaccine. The influenza season typically occurs between November and May. Let them know that encouraging you to go off your plan will help you to do it better. Inform them about how you take care of your diabetes, and they might want to adopt some of your healthy habits.

You may have one or more diabetes problems or none at all. If you get diabetes when you are young, you may not have diabetes problems for many years. If you find out you have diabetes as an adult, you may already have diabetes problems or may not if you have been taking care of your health. Either way, by having a healthy life style you will have your blood glucose, blood pressure, and cholesterol under control and will Keep your diabetes well managed. Never is late to start!
